A fun way to learn about Ryde’s history

The Earth Museum is an Island-based not-for-profit organisation that works through collaboration to connect heritage and stories back to the people and places which give them meaning in the present.

“We are working with Ryde Heritage Action Zone, AspireRyde, the Museum of Ryde, the Isle of Wight Heritage Services and a wonderfully supportive group of shopkeepers to create an experimental pop-up trail and workshop event  during October 2021. It will provide an entertaining way for people to find out about Ryde’s local history!” said Dr Janet Owen, the founder and executive director of The Earth Museum, a project inspired by her 30 years working in the museum and cultural heritage environment.
